Our Therapeutic Approach

In our work together, we approach healing in three interconnected ways. First, we focus on practical strategies -- grounding, self-compassion, and other tools -- to reduce the intensity of the symptoms that make life feel overwhelming. Next, we go through a process of discovery, utilizing body-based, present-moment, and creative methods to gently uncover underlying patterns, unfinished business, and deep pains which can drive present-day struggles. We use these methods because they often access parts of our minds and experiences that talking alone cannot reach. Finally, through direct experiential therapies like parts work and Brainspotting, we can work to heal deep-rooted pains, allowing lasting relief and transformation to take hold.

Our goal is to support you every step of the way, offering compassion and guidance, and helping you feel less alone. One of the reasons therapy can be such a fruitful avenue for personal growth is that a trusting relationship can act as a profound mirror -- reflecting things back to you which usually go unnoticed, including your innate capacity to heal and grow. We believe that all human beings possess the innate ability to flourish -- basic goodness -- and that healing is about providing the proper supports, connection, and sense of safety which allows this natural process to unfold.
